Philippine Independence

Last Wednesday (June 12, 2013) was Philippines 115th Anniversary of being Independent..
We have a lot of ways to celebrate it but mine was with the boyfie since it`s also our 19th monthsary. lol
First we went to SM Manila to buy some food for the big day.
SM Manila`s " I <3 PINAS" :)
Yesss! that was me on the photo above, please excuse my face I`m feeling awkward of the crowd. lol
Anyway, the Philippine inspired heart was really cute! You see that digital numbers? My camera man wasn`t able to capture but there was a button beside it that you can push when you agree that you Love your country. The number shows how many of the people participated with the great idea. :) And I was one of that 689 Filipinos :) Yay!

Next destination is The Rizal Park also known as Luneta Park. Since it is Independence Day might as well visit the place where it all begun.

The Independence Flagpole, standing at 107 metres (351 ft), is the highest flagpole in the Philippines. On this spot in front of Rizal Monument, at 9:15am July 4, 1946, the full independence of the Republic of the Philippines was proclaimed as authorized by the United States President Harry S. Truman. Next to the flagpole, a grandIndependence Grandstand, designed by architect Juan M. Arellano, was built just for the occasion. - Wikipedia (photo from Google)
The Dancing fountain at night :)

Beautiful colored water dancing gracefully to the rhythm of Filipino music. This is what attracts the visitors during night time at the park, a lot of tourists take time to capture and witness the magnificent view.

It`s been a tiring night so we took a rest for a while.. . did I mentioned that I`m so hungry yet? Lol
So yup! I took lots of sweets with us, aside from those are my fave that also serve as an energy booster right?

And after charging our energies we finally decided to go home.. BUT while we are walking we heard and saw this!

Yesss! FIREWORKS ! :)  though it`s quite far from us I can still clearly see the bright and beautiful lights! :)
That`s how our celebration started and ended. We really are Proud Filipinos! :)
