Hi guys! I’m back with blogging again, well nothing serious since I just blog pretty much everything about my life. However this time it’s quite different coz I’m now a “mom” Yes you read it right I am now a first time mom of a cute little girl we named - Kiera Bella :) which actually means spare time is gold and my interests now are broad (baby stuffs, parenting, family etc) and mostly about babies and parenting. I’m so excited about this new chapter of my life! It’s just different it’s extraordinary! Babies really make a new experience on your existence and I just can’t explain how muchI feel every single day especially seeing their new milestones :)) And speaking of milestones I’ll share in this post some photos of my lil’ one when she turned 8 months old last 17th of June. :)

That's it! Thanks for reading! :))

MeMeMe Boho Balm Cheek & Lip Tint

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Here's my review on "MeMeMe Boho BALM Cheek & Lip Tint"

COST: 450php
Bought it online.

My Opinion:
Boho Balm Cheek & Lip Tint as what the name implied, is a cream product to tint your lips and cheeks . It comes in two variants and each of which contains two different shades inside. Both have gorgeous colors that made it hard for me to choose which one to get for myself, and after forever of thinking I got the "Coral Taupe" variant which has obviously the shades from it's name - Coral and Taupe.

more about this product after the jump.

Alright, I'm really not a fan of Mememe cosmetics and to be honest with you girly, I don't really know the brand that much and why I got this balm was because the shades of each variant were into my likings :D Just like that ! lol And to give you an idea about the color pay-off, here's some swatches that I've made..

Coral

Taupe (top)

       THUMBS UP :
  • two shades in one
  • smells vanilla (unless you don't want that fragrant)
  • good color pay-off
  • lasts for an hour
  • blends easily
  • cute packaging

       THUMBS DOWN :
  • A bit pricey (specially for students)
  • availability (not available in the market)
  • triggers dry lips
  • consistency is sticky
  • it feels a bit heavy when use as a cheek tint

It's Personal: My First OGTT experience

Today I'll be sharing my personal experience about this test under "Chemistry" called "OGTT" which stands for "Oral Glucose Tolerance Test" according to my Doctor this is to test diabetes.

oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), a standard dose of glucose is ingested by mouth and blood levels are checked two hours later. The test is usually used to test for diabetesinsulin resistance, and sometimes reactive hypoglycemiaand acromegaly, or rarer disorders of carbohydrate metabolism. credits to: wikipedia

In this process I had to do fasting for 12 hours straight and no water intake, for the first 8 hours blood was extracted for the first sample and he missed it (as expected) until veins in my right arm collapsed :(( T'was painful than normal and so the nurse had to do it again on my left arm this time.
right arm ;(

left arm
and they gave me this glucose drink..

I swear it's really concentrated! Few sip and your throat will hurt coz of too much sweetness!
Good thing it doesn't have that awful smell of medicine or else I'll throw up! I've waited for an hour for the 2nd blood extraction and went sleepy and oh so starving!

poor arm and veins ;(
Here's my arm after four blood extractions! It should have been the last one but right before we leave the hospital, the nurse called me for ANOTHER extraction.. YES another one again!! I almost cry out of frustration.
The Final act. lol
Since they went overboard on my left arm they need to extract me on my hand which is by the way, freaking painful!
After enduring all this hell I had to reward my self a good food, after all it's freaking half the day that I had to starve my self!
Got me One Dozen yow! ;D

YUM :)

Blogging dilemmas!

You know you like blogging but you don't have the resources?
Big problem isn't it? As we all know blogging is quite costly, it requires a lot of things and time.
To name the few here's my basic and factual lists:

  • Computer
  • Internet Connection
  • A Good Camera
  • Money for blogging purposes (depends on what your blog is all about)
  • Time
  • Creativity
  • Props (depends on what your blog is all about)
In order to possibly start a blog you will need a computer device, it could be a desktop, laptop, netbook, and even a smartphone will do on this modern days. But this could be difficult to invest especially to students and non-woking gals like me. So before you can even start you will need some good fortune to put up your own blog site.
Next would be an Internet Connection, OF COURSE! Computer alone is not yet the key right?
You need a consistent if not permanent internet connection when you decide to put up your own blog. And if for you blogging is more than just a hobby, instead a job then you definitely want to look for a good internet provider that you can afford without sacrificing the joys of life. lol

Moshi Manju (Korean Cake)

*Freaked out* Been searching for this baby over the internet for a good three days, I badly want it but I only happened to know one branch (SM MEGA MALL) of this baby and thats quite far from our place now. And so I searched and believed to what I've read, I found a photo of the Moshi Manju stall that says it was taken from SM CITY MANILA! (horray !!) It's only one ride from our home.

And today after seeing the movie "The Fault in Our Stars" I searched for the stall all over the floor levels, and just before I loose hope I saw the name "MOSHI MANJU" at the underground floor where the Food court is located! I freaked out, really! Haha

                                                Cost: 92php /box of 24pcs

Place bought: SM CITY MANILA

It comes with two great flavors, Pastillas de Leche (My personl fave)
                                         and Chocolate filling.

These are actually more delicious when still hot :)

Welcome 2014!

Time went by just like that and before we all know it's now 2014!
              How freaking fast right?
Okay, so my point here is we're now going to start making memories for 365 days and at the end of the year we will look back and reminisce, so make it worth the playback *winks*. Let us start our year differently and together let's conquer the world, shall we? *smiles* Alright so with that being said I will share you some if not all of my "New Year's Resolutions".... *silence* .. okay.. okay I know guys, most of the time this doesn't work but do you know that listing your resolutions will actually set your mind to at least do it even for awhile (3 months at most)? And I don't know about you but for me it gives me the feeling of "RENEWAL" or the idea of "Change for the Better", so as a result I strive harder to accomplish what was written on my list. Here's some short info -- A 2007 study by Richard Wiseman from the University of Bristol involving 3,000 people showed that 88% of those who set New Year resolutions fail,[7] despite the fact that 52% of the study's participants were confident of success at the beginning. Men achieved their goal 22% more often when they engaged in goal setting, (a system where small measurable goals are being set; such as, a pound a week, instead of saying "lose weight"), while women succeeded 10% more when they made their goals public and got support from their friends. Philippine Independence

Last Wednesday (June 12, 2013) was Philippines 115th Anniversary of being Independent..
We have a lot of ways to celebrate it but mine was with the boyfie since it`s also our 19th monthsary. lol
First we went to SM Manila to buy some food for the big day.
SM Manila`s " I <3 PINAS" :)
Yesss! that was me on the photo above, please excuse my face I`m feeling awkward of the crowd. lol
Anyway, the Philippine inspired heart was really cute! You see that digital numbers? My camera man wasn`t able to capture but there was a button beside it that you can push when you agree that you Love your country. The number shows how many of the people participated with the great idea. :) And I was one of that 689 Filipinos :) Yay!

Next destination is The Rizal Park also known as Luneta Park. Since it is Independence Day might as well visit the place where it all begun.
